I don’t know where I am going with this. All I know is there are a lot of if’s that I dwell on in my life and I am slowly trying to learn to let go of a lot of them. Its hard to think about…like if research would catch up! Our FA doctor is doing amazing work turning skin cells into becoming any tissue of the body. Called (iPS) Induced Pluripotent Stem cells. What it boils down to is they would take skin cells from Amelia, culture them over time and insert a correct FA gene into it and turn these cells into the much needed corrected marrow cells…They could also become natural killer(NK)cells that kill cancer cells…..if only this were available today…nope it won’t be ready for testing on actual patients for another 5-6 years and this has been in the works for about 5 years as Dr. Wagner told me about it at Marshall’s1year bone marrow transplant check up…10 years of research…IF ONLY!!!!!

and another Halloween, Amelia is a "rock star" and Nate is a pirate....yeah I know he looks more like a Guido the gondola man...but he was a pirate!

They are best friends and spend all of their time playing together! We tease and say that Amelia is making Nathan a great husband for somebody!! He does everything she tells him to do. They are so funny to watch and listen to especially when they think you aren't listening!!!

Knee update...

Things are progressing right along with the knee. I went yesterday to therapy and he took more measurements and the degree this time was 10. I'm lacking only 10* of it being back to normal, that means I have, in two weeks improved 10*. I asked him if he thought I would get there in the next 2 weeks (I really don't want to be there any longer than needed, my pocket book can't take it!)He told me if I continue to do my exercises at home he didn't see why not!! yeah. So today I am off to the gym to see how I do in the group strength class, a lot of squats and lunges...I think I'll lay off the lunges for a while. I am suppose to lay on the bed on my tummy and let my feet hang off the bed at the knee for about 15-20 minutes a day...yeah right...Shh don't tell him I said that. I do this at therapy for 5 minutes with a 7lb weight on the end of my leg and it is a killer on the knee. But he said that will help get me there!
I'll let ya know, two more weeks of therapy and then back to the doctor!

Last day in Vegas

Ok to finally finish up our Vegas trip! I know you all are just so thrilled, but Vegas was a wonderful trip for us.
We got up and packed everything up as we had a plane to catch later that night. We checked out of the resort and headed over to the Paris hotel where some other great friends of ours were staying..(hi Heather!!) We visited them for a little while then we headed out for lunch at....


It was soooooo GOOD! and we found out they have one here where we live and we are going there this coming Saturday night with some great friends to celebrate my birthday! I can't wait. I know we will all have a great time!
Anyway after we stuffed ourselves silly, we still had some time to burn before we needed to hit the airport. SO we decided to take a trip to....



This place was awesome, we were all a little sad that we decided to visit it on the last day. The views were breath taking....

Then it was time to head back to town and hit the airport for the plane trip home. By the time we got the rental car back and checked in and through security, we had just enough time to make it to the gate and it was time to start loading the plane for home.

I was a little sad that our time in Vegas was over, we were after all having a great time, but I was so happy to get home and see all my kiddos! Of course we didn't really get to see them till Monday afternoon. We arrived home at about 2:30 am and the kids start getting up at 5:30am so after we got them on the bus I went and took a nap for a while. Well that should be all of the Vegas vacation pictures and Vacation pictures too...well at least until Feb, when we are off to the Bahama's on a Disney Cruise for Amelia! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Corn Maze...

We took the kids this weekend to a corn maze in Poplarville, Ms. It was the first time we all had been. We went with some great friends of ours..you might recognize them from the Vegas pictures...


And, why Yes, that is a sassy new hair cut Ms Mimi is sporting! We all love it...its kinda growing on dad, but after all he is a long hair person, but even he too got tired of the screaming when it cam time to comb it and got tired of it being in her face!

The kids had a great time, even though it was a bit chilly. It did warm up while we were walking the 5 acer maze. Yes even I did well walking the maze, it was fun!
