Confusion.....
Maybe we can talk next week. We need to try something else about coming here. I think the world of Stella Davies but I still feel we shouldn't give up yet. J
Grant it I was very excited to get this e-mail, because I have NEVER stopped praying for Minnesota. Minneapolis IS where we want to be. Dr Davies in Cincinnati is a really great and concerned doctor, and the hospital was nice too. But it's so hard to explain there is just a feeling that you have to have. As a mom, you just know what is right for you kids, I know this in my heart and in my stomach. I know that God is in ultimate control and His will shall be done no matter where you are. I'm also looking at comfort for the rest of the family, I know that her care is of the ut most importance and well I truly and have always truly felt that Minnesota is where she is going to get that, but with all this stupid insurance and crap, there just seemed to be no way around it all. Minnesota is truly our home away from home and even though there IS no place like home....for us it is as close as we can get with all the friends that we have made there and well truth be told the Ronald McDonald House there ROCKS!! From the staff to quality to the comfort it really is a home away from home, warm and inviting. The one in Cincinnati, just seemed so cold and sterile....
I'm just so confused and don't want to get my hopes up again to have them burned down again.
I hate FA, I hate that I have to make choices of care for my kids, I hate that they have to go through a bone marrow transplant that is NOT 100% guaranteed to work! and most of all I hate that my child/children may die way too damn young...to damn friggin' young to ever truly experience life!!! I don't want a pity party, but I have been so strong for so long that I just have to let it out and right now this is the only place that I can seem to do it, I wanna go out side and just scream till it hurts. I want to ride the damn horse not just keep climbing up and falling off the SOB!!!!!!
umm...imagine that.....

Tasty....
I made this, this past weekend. I was going through the freezer and came across a bag of shrimp that we had gotten last year. My husband said enjoy them, because it doesn't look like we are going to be getting any this year with that nasty oil still a spewing in the gulf! I also had zucchini and squash that I needed to use so he is the recipe....
2 Tablespoons of olive oil
4 cups thinly sliced yellow squash
3 cups thinly sliced Zucchini
1 pound medium shrimp (later this week I am going to try it with ck breast tenders)
1 tsp of dried basil
1tsp of dried oregano
salt
pepper
3 garlic cloves minced
4 cups hot cooked penne pasta
Parmesan cheese or I uses Finley shredded mozzarella
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add squash and zucchini and saute 10 minutes. Add shrimp; saute 3 minutes. Add juice and next 5 ingredients ; cook 2 minutes or until shrimp are done. Combine shrimp mixture with pasta in a large bowl toss gently. you can put the cheese on top here or when you serve it in the plate.
Don't laugh at our fine china...as you regulars know it's all we use around here.
Marshall said this was the bast pasta he's ever had!
I also made two delicious deserts...
First is a lemon meringue cake...yes I said or wrote CAKE...if you are a lemon lover like us this is for you..easy, easy lemon peasy I know a little corny but true.
Just make the lemon cake as directed on the box buy lemon pie filling or if you want to go through the trouble make the homemade kind layer the cake with the pie filling and then make a meringue and use as icing.
Trust me it was slap yo momma good!!
and then there were the whippersnappers, these you can make with any box of cake mix they are really good with strawberry, but today I went with the trusty ole chocolate. These are easy too.
Whippersnappers1 box of cake mix
1 tub of cool whip
1 egg
beat them all together form balls and roll into powdered sugar and bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes..yummy
of course I didn't have cool whip so I had to make my own with heavy whipping cream....
Well enjoy your day now that I have made you hungry....

Just us
Summer is rolling right along. It's not that bad. Amelia has to go to leap summer school till the end of the month. Then retake the test on the 28th, 29th and the 30. Which sadly means that we, again this year will miss Camp Sunshine on beautiful Lake Sebago in Maine! But she had a really rough school year with everything that was going on health wise and not know when or where transplant was going to be. Then to switch doctors and have her counts come back up. Which I am totally not complaining about. She along with the rest of us were totally disappointed about missing camp, but what's done is done.
Marshall has been doing great! He will be going into the 11th grade when school starts, which starts on the 9th of August. He is enjoying his summer and complaining because we won't get him his drivers license. Sadly I am not sure if and when he will get his license...he still has a slow response time due to a stroke and he has no peripheral vision on the right side and needs to learn how to compensate for it. Other than that he has been pretty good and enjoying summer and church...which I think is a wonderful thing!
Nate is Nate, of course. Still sticking fake snakes all over the place to give me the ebe jeebies!! he just finished a week at our church's Vacation Bible School and waiting for Amelia to finish summer school so he will have a playmate and we can go out to mamaw and papaws to spend the day swimming.
Both the boys have birthday's coming up in July....I still think that it is totally funny that all 4 of our children were due in JULY. Marshall b/d is the 20, our angle Seth's is the 25 and then Nate's is the 28th and Amelia's would have been around the 10th, but she was born so early.
Ty went back to work full duty and has been riding his motorbike and well doing pretty good with it, no pain any where. I of course make sure I say a little prayer every time I hear it crank up early in the morning. He just went to the doctor yesterday for his supposed last visit. Only to come home with orders for an ultra sound of his left calf to rule out a blood clot. OMG yes they suspect another blood clot...jeez.. but he also sad it might be some kind of muscle mass, so, although I am praying that it is nothing, I'm also hoping that it is the lesser of the two. So again he is still not fully released from the doctors care we have to go today for the ultra sound and then the doctor wants to see him back in 30 days. Unless it is a blood clot then he will call him in.
Life here, to say the least, is well, a little interesting one roller coaster ride after another. All I can do is get in, sit down, buckle up and hold on tight..........
Well the house is cool and quiet so I think I'm gonna go and enjoy it while it last!
Blessings,
