A little update on the candy corn, we have found one other thing of candy corn flavor.....(pretty tasty too!)
Sadly though, we only have one Target in the area and there apparently have been numerous others who have discovered the Candy Corn flavored Kisses too. Nathan and Amelia, the well is dry no more kisses till next year.
Ok a few more pictures...Nathan is in love with this time of year, I am sure that he gets it from me. It is my favorite time of year always has been since I was wee little, maybe it had something to do with my approaching birthday. That was a big deal when you were younger, now it's just another day of the week. I love the cool crisp mornings, being able to turn the A/C off and open up the windows. I love the season scented candles...pumpkin and cinnamon spices...MMMMMmmmm! So anyway here are a few pictures of Nathan at a local church "pumpkin patch"....
How about this sunset?!....
Ok on to Marshall, here is a picture below of his favorite pass time...I call it multi-tasking
Below is a story that he wrote for his English class they had to write a story with a moral so below is his story. He really is a pretty good writer, I hope that he keeps it up. That was one of my biggest regrets in life. When I was in college, I had a professor that keep pushing me into writing and said I had talent and signed me up for honnors English writting class, but I never pursued it any further, I mean come on what kind of career could a writer have, or so was the thought that went through my mind. I really wish I would have stayed in college and pursued it, of course I don't regret what I dropped out for.....I'll give you a hint it begins with a M (marrige and motherhood, wouldn't trade being a full time mom for anything!)
There once was a frog named Bobby. He had a rat friend named Maximilian, a.k.a. Max. One day they were walking and hopping to the neighborhood park. So over the hill and through the woods they went. As they were approaching a busy street corner Bobby spotted something shiny on the other side of the street.
“Stop Bobby” yelled Max. “Let me tell you something before you cross the street.”
“Ok” say Bobby.
Max began “A long time ago, my great-great grandpa was walking down the road. He was not paying attention to what he was doing. He crossed the street with out looking both ways. A big Mack truck came by and squashed my great-great grandpa like a pancake.”
Bobby looked at Max and said “Awe, Max, I’ll be alright!”
So off he leaped to see what that shiny thing was. As he leaped he forgot to take Max’s advice and he did not look either way when he crossed the street. Out of no where a black Dodge Viper approached at approximately 85 miles per hour and squashed him flat like a pancake just like Max’s great-great grandpa.
Max sighed and said “Poor Bobby.”
Then he took off and went to tell Bobby’s parents what had happened, and Max thought, if only he would have looked both ways before he leaped.
How cool was that, moral of the story look before you leap.
