What I've been busy doing today...

Marshmallow fondant...

OK as promised..The making of marshmallow fondant...here it is being "kneaded" in the kitchen aid mixer, because it was a bitch pain in the hiney!

Here are two batches ready for the fridge..after I wrapped them in saran wrap!

Can you guess who stepped in to help me? Yep needed the big guns for all that mixing and kneading.

Sorry these pictures are out of order and well its late and I am tired. I've been at this all day and still not finished, Making the chocolate cake now.


My poor new table, I knew I bought that glass top table for something. Sure did come in handy for rolling the fondant.

Cakes I've made....

Ok don't laugh..this is one of the first ones that I ever made and tried...

This one is one that I made for Amelia's birthday a few years ago...


This one I made a few months back for my mom and dad's supper club...






This one was for some friends of ours little girls 5th birthday...she wasn't picky and they said have fun with it so I did.

This one was for a little boys 1st birthday...They wanted a pig playing in the dirt...

These were for my great nephews birthday party...the monkey one was for him to tear into..and the jungle cake was for every one else, there is not a lot of stuff on the cake because the cake had to take a ride to Jackson, Ms so his mom put the rest of the stuff on it when they got there....

This is my latest cake...I just did this weekend for a sister of my high school best friend! Here it is in the beginning....






I have a bunch more but it has taken me quite a while to post these...I'll work on getting more up later.

Tasty Tuseday....on Wednesday

Ok, So, Saturday night was Margarita night again....we had 4 birthday's to celebrate. Tyren's was one of them. so I decided to make a cake for them all. Know mind you it was not anything fancy looking.....but inside....oh my gosh it was Delicious! I tried to get fancy on the inside of the cake. I had been watching Food Networks cake challenge and thought I was tired of the same old white (almond cake). So I looked up chocolate ganache, thought hmmm that was pretty easy make so I gave it a try........I needed, heavy whipping cream and some chocolate chips and a stick of butter, here I was using the white chocolate chips as I made two types of ganache.

heat the butter and the whipping cream to just before it begins to boil....

then add it to the chocolate chips....

Stir till creamy

let it cool and layer between the cakes. I used chocolate and almond cakes and made 4 layers.Here is a picture of the finished cake....

And the inside...oh my gosh, this was yummy.......
