just an update....

wow has it really been that long since I did an update? Well, there really isn't much to report. All is well here and everybody is pretty much content...
The kids of course have started school's out countdown, I on the other hand is counting the days till it starts again...(just kidding) I am looking forward to the summer with the kids. I am looking forward to turning off the alarm clock and not having to turn it back on for quite a while!!
As of this morning there are 19 school days left. Some days I feel like the school year just started...really where does the time go?

Thursday is IVIG for Marshall and then next week we will go and get counts again for Amelia. I am praying that they will still be increasing or staying the same that would be wonderful. Ty also goes back to the doctor on the 3rd so we are keeping fingers crossed that they will release him to full duty. If they don't God help me when he gets home...He has been pretty good through all of this over the last 6 months....I really though he would have been worse. He is just really ready to get out of the courthouse. He is an outdoor person and 5 days a week in a small room is driving him crazy. He is in main control of the court house.
Nate once again has a pet crawfish...lets see how long this one will last. He wants me to go to the store to buy him hotdogs so he can feed them to the crawfish.
Oh well I have to run time to clean the house...of course I was planning on mopping and it is now raining!

Cave City, Kentucky

Ok So most of you know that we took a little trip to Cincinnati,OH. Well we drove there on a Monday, noting the places we wanted to stop on the way home. I hate having to take the kids that far just for Amelia's doctors appointments and not stopping anywhere fun for them. That just seems like torture for them to ride 12 hours and do nothing fun. So while we were in Cincinnati we went to the Zoo. It was beautiful the flowers were in full bloom (pictures to come later, just warning ya). Anyway as we were on our way up we found Dinoland and of course both kids wanted to stop on the way back home, so we did. It was a really neat place. The kids had a ball, they had a paved walk way through the woods and they had little places set up with huge dinosaurs for them to look at and a name plate for each dino.

This picture below was the middle of the place and you could see it from both sides.

This one looks like he is licking Nate's head! and yeah I get asked A LOT if they are twins!

(trust me this is just some of the many pictures that I took of them, I won't bore you with any more for now!)

And last but not least the Woolly Mammoths.....

So that was one of the stops we made on the way home.

All is quite on the home front and everyone, quick...knock on some wood is doing just fine! We get blood counts at the beginning of May and yep count down for school to be out has begun (for them surly not for ME!!!) But they are excited to go swimming Amelia convinced my dad into opening the pool May 1st. They are also excited as we are trying to plan a trip to Camp Sunshine on Lake Sebago in Maine...wish us luck that everything lines up just right so we can go....I swore I wouldn't fly with the kids again, but hopefully they are a little older and we can pull this off!

Thanks again for your continued support and prayers!

Blessings,

Had to share....

Scene: Our house, getting ready for bed. I was in the computer room, Amelia heading up the stairs to her room.

Me: Amelia go brush your teeth.
Amelia: I can't.
Me: excuse me?
Amelia: dad told me to go to bed.
Me: I'm telling you to go brush you teeth now!
Amelia: I can only please one person a day, today is not your day and today doesn't look good tomorrow.....(said running down the hall to brush her teeth)

Where did these smarty pants kids come from???

She had it almost right it's suppose to be: I can only please one person a day, today is not your day and tomorrow doesn't look good either....I use to have that sign on the fridge and when SHE would come to me and demand something I would refer her to the sign...I guess it true you reap what you sow! or pay backs are a B*tch....either way she keeps us on our toes and in stitches!!!!

Awesome!!!

That's the word of the day!! I thought the doctor today was AWESOME...the news was AWESOME!! Amelia's counts that had been taking a drastic turn for the worse, hence the panic for transplant soon, have thus taken a dip back to where she is comfortable with them. The Dr. Davies put it this way...she said personally if I was the mom, I would not be in a rush to go straight to transplant. We have a donor and she (Amelia) is on an open donor search. Which means the computer every night is searching for a possible "better" one, like if someone better may have just been put on the registry that day, we never know. Dr Davies said as long as she is not "wigging" out there is no need for me to "wig" out, her exact words. I keep praying and praying the longer she can hold out the better something better may come along who know!! If her counts continue to hold out we won't need to be back up here until August at which time we will do a bone marrow biopsy. SO for now just keep praying and praying that she can hold on. I think I am going to see if we can make it to Camp Sunshine in June...we really need to go this year with transplant looming over our heads!
Well I need to run I have to give kids baths and we have another FULL day at the hospital tomorrow. Amelia will be getting an IV so please pray that they are able to get it tomorrow with out any trouble....Dr Davies wants to check her kidney functioning since she only has one kidney to make sure she is up to par for a transplant. So praying for more AWESOME results and vibes tomorrow!!!!
Blessings,

Easter

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter! We are going to my parents house tomorrow for a wonderful day. I am packed and ready to head out early Monday morning. I am a little nervous but we are heading to Cincinnati to meet with the new doctor. I may not be able to do much updating depending on the wireless Internet available, but I can do short messages from my phone. I will do as much updating as I can.

I wanted to do a quick update tonight to wish everyone a very Happy Easter, hope you all have a great day. We will be busy tomorrow and plan on leaving early on Monday morning. I think I am going to drive to Nashville and stay the night and then continue on to Cincinnati Tuesday morning. We have appointments all day Wednesday and all day Thursday. We finish up late Thursday and then Friday morning we will head home. We are driving straight through Friday so we should arrive late night some time. Again I will update as much as I can. Enjoy your day tomorrow every one.
Blessings,
