THANK YOU!!!

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to all of you for saying prayers for Amelia...she did great her hip look AWESOME!!! We got a ticket for another 2 years!!! Her right hip was at 20* the left hip which is the one that was always in the socket, was at 16. Dr. Bennett said that anything under 30 is normal and does not require surgery!!! We were all so happy, it is always nerve wracking anticipating these visits!!!

Prayer request.....

Just wanted to ask for some prayers for Amelia. Tomorrow we are going to the ortho doctor for a recheck of her hip. We haven't been in two years, she has been doing that good. We need that hip to continue to be doing good so that we can avoid surgery, surgery would be a challenge for her considering her platelets are so low. That would mean a transfusion, something at this point that we would like to avoid at all cost!!! I will let you know what the doctor says tomorrow afternoon...In advance let me say a great big thank you to all of you for continuing to keep my family in your prayers they truly do mean a lot to all of us!!!

Day 5 Animal Kingdom and Disney Hollywood studios

I know, I know I need to get back to the trip....

So this was our final day, and boy were we all feeling it. I wasn't sure that my feet were gonna make it! Poor Marshall was walking like a little old man, so we decided to rent him a wheel chair along with a double stroller for the kids. Well I knew that we got a free rental for the kids stroller from GKTW, well it turns out that the wheel chair was free too. Marshall said great we discover that on the last day!!

We decided to do Animal Kingdom first because there were only a few things there that we really wanted to see and since it was the last day and still had one park to go we had to do some picking and choosing.

First up we could not pass up a bugs life with Flick!! I think that is our favorite 3-d show!

I also for got to mention in an earlier post that when we were in MK we went to Monster inc.'s laugh show and before the show it said to text in your jokes and they might use them in the show...well I texted one with Amelia's name on it and they used her joke and said her Name and where she was from...she loved it.

Anyway from Flick we went over to ride the Dinosaur ride the kids all loves this one too. Then we headed to Mount Everest...I was a wimp and didn't want to ride ( I had a pounding head ache and by this time I was done with being twisted, turned, flipped, flopped, and just plum plopped!) So the 4 of them all went and wanted to go again...Nathan was kinda undecided, and they talked me into going...so the whole way through the line Nate couldn't make his mind up till we go right up to the ride and he said he didn't want to go again...so I opted out and took him out of the ride so I still didn't have to ride.

That was the last ride but let me see here are a few pictures that we took there...

(yes a child is missing...he didn't want to get in any of them)

So then we headed to Disney Hollywood studios...We spent the rest of the day there, there was a lot more stuff to do and some things we just didn't get too. Like the stunt show, which we had seen the last time we were there..but we didn't get to Fantasmic or what ever it is called, it wasn't until like 10 at night and well that was the last night and we were spent!

I think the kids had a great time here...their favorite ride there was Toy Story mania! It was a lot of fun!!!

and yes she poses for just about every picture she takes.

Tasty Tuesday ( A day early!!)

Not sure what to call these...but my hubby said that he loved 'em so much, he'd marry me again! I always knew the way to a mans true heart was through his stomach!

How about Greek Quesadilla's?

Ingredients:

2 bags washed and cooked spinach
1/4 lemon squeezed
Wheat or white floured tortilla's (I used sundried tomato basil ones)
8oz crumbled feta cheese
chicken breast (optional)
1bag of shredded Italian blend cheese (mozzarella and others or just mozzarella will do)
1 can of quartered artichoke hearts (I usually cut them in half again)
salt & pepper to taste
and Italian seasoning (I have a huge one that I get from Sam's)

Boil spinach/drain completely and chop it up.

In a skillet pour a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a little garlic powder and some Italian seasoning..add chicken and cook till no longer pink then slice it up and cook a little longer .

In a bowl mix the spinach, feta cheese, lemon juice, and a little Italian cheese blend ( that's the kind at the store with, mozzarella, Parmesan, provolone ) mix well with a fork then add the artichoke hearts.

In a lightly greased frying pan over medium heat, add a lightly buttered tortilla and place butter side down, and some Italian cheese blend to the entire tortilla, then on one half add the spinach and feta mixture and the chicken. Flip the other side over it and cook on both sides for a few minutes or until lightly browned on both sides...

Then cut and serve! YUMMY!!
You can add different things, Like next time I make these I am going to add fresh mushrooms sauteed in a little butter with red onions. You can also buy some pizza dough and sprinkle EVOO on the rolled out dough and spread all the ingredients on there and bake that...
Cooking's fun get creative with it!!
Have a great Tuesday!

Too Much Realistics

Ok so this might offend some of you and so you can leave now.
For those of you who are reading on.....here goes.
Well you all know that just like everyone else we had an Easter egg hunt. The kids both got money in their eggs. Well it was burning a hole in their pockets. SO I had to go to the Doctor on Monday and had to take them with me. So i made a deal with them that if they could and would be good while I saw the doctor, I'd take them to the toys at Target. Well they were good and I kept my promise....
Nathan chose what else but Bakugan's the newest rage for boys....Well Amelia she just has to spend her money she just can't save anything....
so we walked up and down the aisle she finally settled on this..... She wanted to name it Daisy.

Looks innocent enough huh??? let's try another view....

and so still not so bad but then Amelia said it was messed up....I asked why she turned it over and showed me this....
Looks like Daisy is now MAX!!!!!!!

Day 2, both Universal Parks

Ok so on Sunday we decided to do both Universal Parks. We started out at Universal. First thing that we went on was the Jimmy Neutron ride and then we went over to the Shrek 4-D show. We did all that we could do here are a few pictures from our day....

We had a lot of fun, we rode just about every ride at universal except I think Twister...and the little ones didn't ride The Mummy, but Tyren and Marshall rode it and then Marshall and I rode together. I think it is my favorite ride ever!

After we headed to Islands of adventure and of course the first stop was the Seuss landing. We did a few rides here most of it was roller coasters that not all of us ride.

When we finished here we headed to Down Town Disney to eat at the T-Rex cafe...and since it is so late tonight, I have to finish up tomorrow...if the link below works there are some pictures there of our trip...
